Register with your character's name or a user name that is reasonable. After registering change your display name to your character's name in all UPPER CASE letters. i.e. HARRY POTTER.
There will be no bullying, harassment, fighting, discrimination, disrespect, directed towards anyone on the site, or anyone visiting the site as a guest. If you have issues with someone on the site work it out through PM, or if necessary explain the situation to staff. Do not bring any drama onto the forum, it will not be tolerated.
The rating of the site is PG-13 which is a requirement of Proboards TOS. Do not post anything that wouldn't be allowed in a PG-13 movie, or that you wouldn't let a 13 year old read or take part in. If you have questions as to what is allowed please PM an administrator.
Topics of a sensitive nature such as rape, incest, sexual acts, heavy violence, psychological illness, self-harm, and any form of abuse will be closely monitored on the site. We encourage you not to include these topics in your character applications because it will not be accepted due to the rating of our site.
Members should be able to write two, well written paragraphs per post in third person. At times shorter posts will be allowed (in these instances an admin will specify when it is appropriate for shorter posts).
In regards to canons, you can play more than one canon as long as they don't interact. You need 25 IC posts in each account before making another. If you decide to play a canon on the site, certain canons need to audition before you post an application. You can find more information about making a character in the 'Character Information' sub-board under the board 'The Sorting Ceremony'.
Each member is allowed up to five accounts on the site. Each account must have 25 IC posts before you're allowed to make another character. If you want more than five accounts, any additional accounts must first be approved by an administrator before you make them.
We encourage all members to log into their accounts daily. If we notice you have not logged in or posted, and it has been longer than a month (or you have missed an activity check), then your account is at risk for deletion off the site. Also, you must have at least one in character post per account per month to be considered "active". However, if you let us know of a pending absence by posting in Hogwarts Express your account will be saved.
It is not necessary to have a face claim here. However if you decide to have one you may use an actor or actress, or a model. Do not use random facebook people or other unknown people. Animated characters, anime, and artwork is not permitted unless you have permission from an admin.
Do not take control of another character without that player's permission. Also, do not control or manipulate a situation so that your character is always winning or avoiding consequences.
Plagiarism will not be tolerated. This includes using another application off another site and claiming it as your own, copying canon content from google / wikipedia into your application, stealing graphics or artwork and claiming it as your own, using information off other fandoms / television series for a character, etc. If it isn't yours don't use it.
Avatars / Signatures.
Avatars must be no bigger than 150 x 200, signatures no bigger than 500 x 300. Subtle animation / gif images are allowed. If they are flashing heavily you may be asked to remove them off your profile due to the fact heavily flashing images cause seizures in certain people prone to them. Keep in mind that celebrities in graphics should be clothed appropriately for a PG-13 site.
No advertising or linking your name to a site off TUC. No fighting, spamming, or causing mischief, breaking the site rules, or being immature. If there is a spammer in the cbox, do not converse with the spammer, simply PM an admin and we will take care of it. If you are a guest and have a question / need to bring something to our attention, and we are not online please post in the 'Welcome Witch' board so we can better assist you.
We have advertising boards that both members and guests have access to. These are the only areas in which advertising on the site is allowed. You can link your site in your profile where it asks you for your home page, however signatures that link to other sites are not allowed. Do not advertise through PM. If a member complains that you have advertised to them you will be warned, and if it continues, banned from the site.
